I grew up in a home where there was always a craft being made. Over the years I have seen my mom sew, do cross stitch, rag rugs, quilt, paint, scrapbook, and so much more. For years my mom thought that I must have been switched at birth because I showed no talent nor interest in crafts. But as I have grown up and had a family of my own the desire to craft started to stir with in me. I started with scrap-booking. My mom and I would go to the Scrapbook expo and walk around looking for the best deals until we could hardly walk anymore. Then I would come home and start to create stories on paper with stickers, colorful paper and pictures. Then I branched out into the world of card making. OK its not that much different than scrap-booking. Then a to my surprise (and my moms I am sure) I started to sew. I inherited and 1950's sewing machine that had been my great-grandmothers. It was blue and had a knee peddle, that's right, no foot peddle- I had to push the peddle with my knee. Many bruised knees later I inherited a newer sewing machine from my mom. It has a foot peddle! So I started with making quilts. I would make quilts for anyone I could think of. Then I had a daughter!!! My talents shifted to making bracelets and flower hair accessories. Now as a she is a toddler I have started making skirts for her.
Long story, right. But the point of it I love to craft and would love to share some of my ideas and crafts with all of you. I hope you enjoy what I have done!
